We have a good selection of tack for ponies to borrow but it is worth getting your own, especially a bridle
because of the hygiene implications.
HOOVES :-
Indoors or on good grass bare feet, or trainers. Outdoors, trainers,
or walking-boots or for the enthusiast you can buy custom made pony Hoof Boots.
BRIDLE & BIT :-
Can be bought cheaply from the OWK shop or there are more expensive ones with blinkers or you can
simply make your own. A bit can be just a length of cord about 5 mm square then attach a
strap between the rings to go around the back of the head and add reins to the rings.
HARNESS :-
Most harness involves a wide belt around the
waist with attachment points at each side. Some have an
upper-body harness to distribute the weight carried onto the shoulders.
Some go between the legs to prevent the belt riding up and accentuate the buttocks.
DRESS :-
Depending on what your Mistress wants this is normally a G string or pants keep the genitals covered,
although the buttocks should remain exposed
at all times, being naked looks better.
HANDS :-
Wrist cuffs which can either be tied behind the back if the cart is supported from the belt or if the pony is
used more as a rickshaw carrier then they can be fastened to the cart to avoid escape.
KNEE PADS :-
If ponies stumble, their knees may bang or scrape on the floor. So knee pads are a good idea but not essential.
CLOAK OR BLANKET :-
Except in the warmest weather a cloak or blanket over the pony's shoulders is
needed to keep them warm after exercise or whilst waiting around.
